Celkon launched quite a few smartphones this year. After the launch of Millennium Vogue Q455, Millennium Power Q3000 and Millennium Elite Q470, the brand is gearing up to make an addition to the Millennium series by launching the new Millennium Ultra Q500.

The smartphone will do the job of expanding the company’s existing Millennium range. According to the reports the smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The Celkon Millennium Ultra Q500 is priced at Rs. 9,999 and is anticipated to be available for pre-booking from August 14. The smartphone will be up for sales by August 24.

Building up the mystery

The company has not yet made any official words about the specifications and features on the phone such as – the camera, battery, and the processor – of the Millennium Ultra Q500.

However, websites always manage to get sneak peeks of the handsets before they are released. ForeArena listed a few specifications of the Millennium Ultra Q500. A 5inch HD IPS display with OGS and a resolution of 720x1080 pixles, quad core processor, a 2 GB RAM and built in storage of 16 GB is what is known. There smartphone will have expandable storage supports and will run on Android 4.4 Kitkat.

In the wake of this August, Celkon launched its budget smartphone Signature Two A500 which was priced at Rs. 5,999. Interestingly, much like the new Millennium Ultra Q500, he Signature Two A500 is also exclusively available on Flipkart.

The Celkon Signature Two A500 is an Android 4.4 KitKat device and supports dual SIM (GSM + GSM). The smartphone sports a 5 inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixles. Powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572M processor the Signature Two carries a GB of RAM. The device comes with an inbuilt storage of 8 GB and the memory can be expanded further up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The Celkon Signature Two A500 sports a 5 megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and LED flash and a front facing camera of 0.3 megapixel.

Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802 b/g/n, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth and Micro USB.

Backed up by a battery rated at 2000 mAH, the Signature Two can manage up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours of standby time. The Celkon Signature Two A500 sports dimensions of 72.5x141.3x9.9 mm and weighs about 147 grams.


From the images of the Millennium Ultra Q500 it seems the device will be extremely slim, just like other Celkon Millennium smartphones and will have a semi-premium feel to it. Available information promises an average display and a decent processor. Out of the box Android KitKat adds to the upsides about the smartphone. It’s only a matter of days that the smartphone becomes available on Flipkart for pre-orders. Hopefully, there will be more information about the new ‘Millennium’ addition to the brand’s catalogue.
