Since the Samsung Galaxy series was first launched, there has been no looking back for the brand. No matter how high the prices may go or how irrelevant changes there might be from one model up to another, people seem to be in unconditional love with Samsung, especially the Galaxy S series. Exactly the reason why, Samsung keeps launching new smartphones every now and then! Making the news recently is the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Active sporting a heart rate sensor on its back panel. The South Korean Behemoth launched the Galaxy S5 Active at a price of 42,000 INR. Sadly, the Indian pricing is just for the indication to how much it would cost. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is not yet available in India.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active simply justifies its name. Completely dustproof, water resistant and shock resistant, this smartphone is one tough beast. The galaxy S5 proudly boasts IP67 certification. The phone can easily endure being dipped in water to a maximum depth of 1 meter for up to half an hour while its covers a slightly closed. It meets US Mil-STD 810G for shock, humidity, temperature, rain and altitude. As a matter of fact, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active also sports a water resistant earphone jack. A unique key called the “convenience key” on the left edge of the device launches the Activity Zone that features apps and features related to outdoor activities. To complete this oh-so-active experience, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active comes with a robust feel, with exaggerated corners and even a camo-print rear panel. The smartphone will also be available in Titanium Grey color along with the Camo Green.
