India To Receive 100 Warships in 2017. GRSE has built two INS Kamorta and INS Kadmatt with 90% indigenous content and delivered to the Indian Army in July 2014.
Everyone knows that the country is preparing big when it comes to defense arrangement. India is going to receive around 100 warships by February and March, 2017. East Coast Daily has mentioned in his article that the company Garden Research Shipbuilders will be delivering the consignment by the end of March 2017. This is going to be the first shipbuilding company in India to deliver such a big number of war ships. Along with the warships, they are also delivering 700 vessels as told by GRSE’s CMD rear Admiral (Rtd) A. K. Verma.
This is a rare moment for the country to witness such a feat as well as for the company to achieve and deliver. He has also shown interest in building submarine but sought larger area closer to the sea. The shipyard has been modernized and adopted latest technologies and has adopted modular construction on LCU project and will soon implement the same on the prestigious advanced stealth project p-17A for the Indian Army.

Verma said” we have an order worth of Rs. 30000 crore which is an achievement in itself” . GRSE registered its name in Indian history when it delivered the two most prestigious INS Kamorta and INS Kadmatt in 2014 for export. So far, it has delivered 15 warships and launched 18 such vessels over the last five years.
