‘Former Punjab CM Only Worked For 2 Hours; I Just Rest For 2’: Channi At HTLS
Earlier Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh was publicly insulted by Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, who accused him of not performing for the state's citizens. He stated there is a fresh structure in existence in the state while addressing at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit (HTLS).
When communicating to Sunetra Choudhury, national political editor of the Hindustan Times, the chief minister asked him to explain why the chief minister ought to be replaced. The former CM used to operate for just two hours, but he no longer works for merely two hours. Again for the duration of the period, he is at work. People used to criticise the former CM because he used to wake up so late. Individuals now wonder when he sleeps. He is now available to everybody he previously was not. As a result, circumstances have improved. It's the end of an era, and you'll notice some changes. This adjustment has been well received.
Should he prevent citizens from visiting him if he becomes the chief minister, Channi stated? He enjoys meeting and conversing with the general public, and has set up a tent in front of his home to invite them to do so.
When questioned why the initiative to change the chiefminister was delayed, Channi responded that everything has its time and place. Captain Amarinder Singh is not a newcomer; there is a process in place to depose such a strong figure. You must consider how to get rid of such a person. Even before resigning, he maintained touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was given the name Chief Minister, but he was unsure if he would be allowed to take the oath.
He additionally stated that no Congress MLA has defected to Ed Amarinder Singh, which is a significant achievement.
Channi also denied that Amarinder Singh was mistreated by Congress. Channi said that he was granted everything, including becoming a member of Parliament and twice serving as chief minister. Members of his family went on to become ministers. Is there anything else the party could do? He was unable to work today when the party required him. Singh has announced that he will not run in the upcoming election. So, what's the point of this?
Captain Amarinder Singh, according to Channi, is doing the party a disservice. Is it necessary for them to lock up their office? All of the Party leaders recognized he wasn't doing his job properly. And that he could have graciously left, but he did not.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accounted for the second biggest group in the 117-member assembly, earning 20 seats and being the main opposition. Merely 15 seats were won by the SAD, whereas three seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
