Maharashtra: Ruling Parties Demands High-Level Probe Into Allegations Of Extortion By NCB
Following the revelations of Prabhakar Sail, a crucial eyewitness in the cruise drugs case, Maharashtra's governing parties have urged an elevated investigation by Maharashtra police. Nawab Malik, a state minister for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has stated he would meet with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to discuss the issue, whereas Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut has asked the Maharashtra police for suo motu cognisance.
Malik, who has also been exposing flaws and irregularities in the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) inquiry, believes this should be looked into by a special investigative team (SIT). Just after shocking disclosure by the testimony in the case, Nawab Malik stated that what they have been stating from the beginning has been proven accurate. According to Sail, NCB authorities requested payment from Shah Rukh Khan, with Rs Eight crore going to NCB zone administrator Sameer Wankhede. The NCB sleuths were extorting money from Bollywood by threatening searches. This has to be looked into by Maharashtra cops to validate Sail's statements. Examining phone records, the whereabouts of money-carrying vehicles, and mobile locations will reveal the truth.
Malik stated that he will personally meet with the CM on Monday to seek an SIT. He further added that NCB officials were running the extortion scheme. It could be established by examining the witness's statements. He also said that he is going to ask the governor for a state police investigation.

Malik had previously voiced concerns about how one KC Gosavi, who is pursuing prosecution charges, and a Bhartiya Janata Party officer bearer, Manish Bhanushali, handled the drug case accused, Aryan Khan. He also wondered why Wankhede was in the Maldives last year while Bollywood stars were on vacation during the shutdown.
Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP, has urged a suo motu investigation into the entire incident. He stated that NCB forcing the witnesses in the AryanKhan incident to accept the blank piece of paper is alarming. There used to be a request for a large sum of cash, according to reports. Uddhav Thackeray, who is Maharashtra's chief minister, stated that the lawsuits are being brought to malign Maharashtra. Dwalsepatil Police must take suo moto notice of what appears to be flowing through.
Nana Patole, the Maharashtra Congress chairman, has urged an elevated investigation. He added that Sail's disclosures are severe since he claims to have been extorted of Rupees twenty-five crore. The NCB's conduct looks to be part of a larger plot against Maharashtra and its administration. The Sail has also stated that he is in danger of losing his life. A high-level investigation of the claims is required by the state government.
Pravin Darekar, the leader of the opposition in the legislative council, claimed that the governing parties are attacking state agencies by making bogus accusations. Nawab Malik among others, he said, had been making false claims against NCB and its zone head Sameer Wankhede. The governing parties have been attempting to politicise state agencies and the national government, and the recent charges about car licences are one of these attempts. The charges are unfounded and untrue.
According to Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata party president Chandrakant Patil, whether there is any truth in the Sail video, should be investigated. He claimed that they had haven't ever stuck by Wankhede since he was neither a worker nor an official holder. We never said anything negative about him or NCB. However, it is necessary to determine who is behind Shah Rukh Khan. Leaders of the ruling party have been attacking key agencies as if they had taken up the issue of specific individuals. The level of interest Malik has shown in the matter is astonishing.
