Punjab Elections: Rahul Gandhi Says Congress Only Party Fit To Rule State

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, claimed on Monday that his party was the only one suitable to run Punjab and that he was willing to make whatever sacrifice to keep peace and harmony in the state.

Gandhi stated at a rally in Hoshiarpur's Roshan Ground that now was not the time to try out a new administration. He remarked, referring to the Aam Aadmi Party's claim of winning the person's mandate in the 20th of February polls, that it is not a laboratory, and that no experiments should be conducted.

He claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party had failed in Delhi and had no expertise in Punjab, but the Congress had extensive competence in the border state.

According to Jakhar, Sidhu and Channi, they are capable leaders.

He stated that the most important things for Punjab are peace, unity, and communal harmony, for which the Congress is willing to make any sacrifice. It is the only political party capable of bringing together people of all religions, classes, and ideologies.

According to Gandhi, Punjab required a person who can show them the path, and Charanjit Singh Channi was the man for the job.

He stated, referring to the current and previous state Congress heads on the dais, that they had a long list of talented leaders, notably Sunil Jakhar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, and that they take everybody with them.

Modi is accused of assisting rich buddies.

In a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he claimed that the Prime Minister never talked regarding the real issues of illegal money, bribery, and unemployment. He claimed that Modi ruined the economy by enforcing demonetisation to benefit a few of his millionaire pals.

Demonetisation and the current GST regime, he claimed, harmed medium and small industries and merchants. He presented three agricultural laws to sell farmers' interests to his crony capitalist buddies, but he is grateful to the farmers of Punjab for making a stand for them, or it will have had a negative influence on the agricultural community in neighbouring states too though.

Modi Ji declared "galti ho Gayi" after making farmers endure for more than a year, but the administration has yet to compensate the family members of the 700 farmers who died in the battle, according to the former Congress head.

Punjab has been promised that narcotics will be eradicated.

Gandhi questioned why Amit shah, the Home Minister had not spoken regarding the presence of narcotics in Punjab when the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiromani Akali Dal were in control, pointing to Shah's address in Punjab on Sunday.

They claimed he was bluffing when he complained about the drug problem, he said. He was derided when he cautioned about the Covid menace. He even projected that the agricultural legislation would have to be repealed by the Centre. He pauses to consider his words before speaking. However, if elected, he vows to take tough measures to eradicate narcotics from the state.

He asserted that Congress stood behind farmers during their fight and that the Channi administration gave significant help by reducing power and gasoline rates.

He said that if Congress was elected, it will end the monopolies of sand, transportation, and cable companies.
