Ys Sharmila Begins 4,000km Marathon March; Telangana’s KCR Is Her Prime Target

Telangana political president YS Sharmila began her marathon padayatra (march) on Wednesday intending to abolish what she described as K Chandrasekhar Rao's authoritarian tyranny and restore Rajanna Rajyam, the social safety net envisaged by her dad, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, who passed away in 2009.

Her mother, YS Vijayalakshmi, started the padayatra following a large public rally in Chevella town, Ranga Reddy district, where her partner, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, began his 1,500-kilometer Praja Prasthanam padayatra all over united Andhra Pradesh in 2003, which helped the Congress party win the state assembly polls in 2004.

YS Sharmila, the sibling of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, spoke at the gathering, saying she was embarking on a long padayatra to bring an end to KCR's egotistical and authoritarian dictatorship.

She declared that today, she is taking the initial step in ushering in a social safety net in Telangana and vanquishing the TRS's dynastic tyranny.  Throughout her travels, She will visit each community and meet each inhabitant.

YS Sharmila, who promised to uncover the TRS administration's alleged wrongdoing, called KCR the poorest chief minister of a certain state in the nation and charged him with turning a revenue-rich state into a liabilities one by uncontrolled lending.

She remarked that hundreds of qualified jobless teenagers have committed suicide as a result of a lack of job possibilities, and many more have become daily wage labourers.  Even though official data show there are 1.90 lakh job openings in the state, the TRS administration is yet to release a solitary job announcement.

Sharmila further criticised the TRS administration for ignoring the poorer sections of the population. She added that  When the TRS came into office in 2014, KCR promised that he would appoint a Dalit as Telangana's initial chief minister. He even offered each Dalit family three acres of land. He, on the other hand, did not keep a solitary commitment. On the opposite side, during the TRS rule, crimes against Dalits have increased. He has also done little to help OBCs (other backward castes).

She further chastised Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to hold the TRS administration accountable for wrongdoing. She further remarked that because of his involvement in the cash-for-vote controversy, Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy lacks the courage to confront the administration.  The BJP is working in conjunction with the TRS and has failed to substantiate the allegations regarding KCR.

Only Sharmila, according to Vijayalakshmi, can make the Bangaru Telangana (golden Telangana) a truth. she stated, pleading with people to bless her daughter saying that her daughter has the strength and determination to realise the people's ambitions and the deceased YSR's aspirations.

As part of her marathon, Sharmila intends to smash all the milestones. Tudi Devender Reddy, a representative for the YSRTP, stated that according to the route chart, she would go on a padayatra spanning roughly 4,000 kilometres across Telangana state in 14 months, encompassing 90 assembly districts. Reddy said that she walked 12-15 kilometres on average every day.

Her brother, Jagan Mohan Reddy, holds the former padayatras mark. From November 6, 2017, to November 6, 2018, he travelled 3,648 kilometres in 341 days. The Praja Sankalpa Yatra finished on 9th January 2019, weeks before the April 2019 assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.
