Father’s Day 2020: What Is The History And How You Can Celebrate The Occasion
The dates for the same do vary from country to country, but it is largely celebrated on the third Sunday in June. Hence, this year Father’s Day will be celebrated on June 21 all over the world.
What is the history?
Folklore has it that Father’s Day was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, a daughter of American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart back in the year 1910. Now, ever since that day, it has been celebrated in as many as 111 countries.
This day is an opportunity to make the day extremely special for your father and remind him how he is a hero and how he will always be one. On this day, you will have the opportunity to remember all about their love and the sacrifices and you can speak about how you respect all that they have done for you to make what you are.
This year nothing is different, one cannot step outside, but hey, you can always spend time together at home – cook for them, share a drink together, sing together and then, at the end of the day, sit down and speak with them right through the night.
