According to latest reports from the Indian Express many Indian businessmen and celebrities have been named in the Panama Papers. A massive leak of 11.5 million tax documents has exposed the secret offshore dealings of world leaders, businessmen and celebrities and the name on the list are the who whose of society.

A massive leak of 11.5 million tax documents has exposed the secret offshore dealings of world leaders, businessmen and celebrities and the name on the list are the who whose of society. Millions of confidential documents have been leaked from one of the world's most secretive law firms by the name of “law firm Mossack Fonseca”, exposing how the rich and powerful have hidden their money. At present from India there are around 500 names on the list who have allegedly stashed hundreds of million dollars in offshore accounts and other tax haven.
At present over 500 Indian names appear on the list and some many of them have close ties with various political parties making it a huge problem when elections in Kerala and West Bengal are so near. The most famous names are Indian Screen Icon Amitabh Bachchan, DLF’s KP Singh, Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, fugitive Iqbal Mirchi and Adani elder brother. Also the names of several heads of state are mentioned like Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, aides to Russian president Vladimir Putin, former president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, the former Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi and the current president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad and also many politicians from Europe.
But the biggest name to come out this international crisis is the name of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his family who have links to offshore accounts. President Xi since he took power has led a very aggressive and high-profile anti-corruption drive in China, targeting illegal wealth accumulated by Communist Party cadres which saw some most influential and powerful leaders convicted in public.
Even athletes like Lionel Messi and his father are named on the list. It is alleged they own a shell company not discovered in a Spanish investigation into the football star's tax affairs. Also former French football player and suspended UEFA chief Michel Platini has been named along with few other senior FIFA officials.
