Air Asia Flight QZ8501 Debris may have been Found

According to latest reports from Agence France-Presse items resembling an emergency slide, plane door and other objects were spotted in the sea during an aerial search on Tuesday for missing AirAsia flight QZ8501, Indonesian officials said. Indonesian air force official Agus Dwi Putranto told reporters: "We spotted about 10 big objects and many more small white-colored objects which we could not photograph.”

He further added “The position is 10 kilometers (six miles) from the location the plane was last captured by radar.” This flight had 155 passengers and 7 crew members when it went missing day before yesterday when it left Surabaya on its way to Singapore. Many countries have joined the search mission and America has even dispatched a navel destroyer. In the meanwhile Australia which is an important country in that region has sent its planes and it seems they were able to locate the floating debris. Though it is possible the plane has been located but salvaging the debris would not be very easy to difficult weather conditions.
