Peter Kassig an American aid worker in Syria who converted to Islam and took the name Abdul Rahman was in cold blood was beheaded. According to reports from Associated Press the President while travelling on onboard Air Force One called the murder of Abdul Rahman an act of “pure evil”. This is the fourth aid worker killed by ISIS.
In a statement given while flying on Air Force one the President Barack Obama said “Abdul-Rahman was taken from us in an act of pure evil by a terrorist group that the world rightly associates with inhumanity,” and he further added “Like Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff before him, his life and deeds stand in stark contrast to everything that ISIL represents.”
Mr Obama called Abdul Rahman a humanitarian who only wanted to help people and said “While ISIL revels in the slaughter of innocents, including Muslims, and is bent only on sowing death and destruction, Abdul-Rahman was a humanitarian who worked to save the lives of Syrians injured and dispossessed by the Syrian conflict.”
The President called ISIS a group who do not belong to any religion including Islam and called Peter Kassig who converted to Islam as a humanitarian who deeply cared about the plight of the Syrian people.
Also it seems the man known as Jihadi John has been injured due the American bombings which is ongoing and has created many problems for ISIS. With more troops being planned by America to be sent to Iraq to fight ISIS, the murder Peter Kassig could prove as a pivotal movement.
