IAF surgical strike along LOC

Today India aroused to the news of Indian Air Force ringing out surgical strikes on terror camps in Pakistan. Deliberately, the information started coming as the day advanced and it became deceptive that India had retaliated the Jaish-e-Muhammad attack in the response to CRPF convoy in Pulwama in less than two weeks.


This is the first ever cross-border air strike that was carried out in after five decades. The last air strike was conducted in the 1971 in Bangladesh war. Twelve Mirage 2000 fighter jets hit joint training camps of LeT and Jaish in the Pakistan and entirely destroyed by shelling 1,000 kg bombs. It almost took 19 minutes to complete the whole operation.

Mirage 2000 jets hit Balakot, Chakoti and 24 KM North West of Muzaffarabad. The strike started at 3:45 am and went on till 3:53 am. Striking Balakot is a significant high for IAF as it not only intersected the Line of Actual Control) but crossed the complete Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Nirmala Sitharaman, Defence Minister of India briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the entire operation of surgical strike. Moreover, PM called the meeting of Cabinet Ministers to discuss on the matter. The sources have reported substantial damage on the ground of Pakistan.
